This hand-crafted item and many others come from a third generation family run factory in mainland China. Their skills of hand-painting, hand-rubbed lacquering, and hand-tooling have been passed down for many generations. We are proud to support them in their quest to keep their age-old techniques alive for future generations. Many of the artists are hired out of semi-retirement to work from home training the next generation to become master craftsmen. These masters are highly respected in their craft and their culture which have survived through many Chinese dynasties and continue to produce valuable and desirable pieces for your home decor.

I purchased both the 4 and 6-panel room dividers in the natural color. They arrived in perfect condition in only a few days. I plan to use the large divider to screen a sleeping area from the overlook of the loft in the new house we're building and the smaller divider in the master bath to screen the shower from the rest of the room when we have guests in the adjoining bedroom using the shower. I thought I would have to pay much more for dividers for these purposes and am delighted with the cost and look of these; the natural color blends with all decor. Yes, I would recommend this product to anyone.
I purchase this in white and it IS white. so many times "white is ivory or darker." There is virtually no assembly. I put it up myself. The louvers work easily and does a very nice job hiding my computer room. It is everything I expected. I buy often from Overstock .com and have always recoeved products that are very good for the money.extremly happy.
