This hand-crafted item and many others come from a third generation family run factory in mainland China. Their skills of hand-painting, hand-rubbed lacquering, and hand-tooling have been passed down for many generations. We are proud to support them in their quest to keep their age-old techniques alive for future generations. Many of the artists are hired out of semi-retirement to work from home training the next generation to become master craftsmen. These masters are highly respected in their craft and their culture, both of which have survived through many Chinese dynasties. They continue to produce valuable and desirable pieces for your home decor.

I bought this 4 panel screen to semi-separate a guest bed/sleeping area in our family room downstairs. I placed it behind the sectional sofa and it gives just the right amount of privacy.The screen arrived in perfect condition. All slats worked and the color is exactly what I expected. It's heavy and built well enough to stand independently with no fear of tipping, even though it is placed on a higher pile carpet.I thought it rather pricey, but it was what I needed and you get what you pay for.
I bought this to block view of my office from my clients. I love it so much I want to get one for my home, but have no use for it there! Well made, great materials and sturdy!
the 4-panel screen more than met my expectations. the order was delivered earlier than the due date.the painted white screen had been done very well. it was already assembled, so it was just remove from box and set up. the worksmanship on the wood was done very nicely as well. the rollers to open and close the shutters looks sort of delicate, but so far i have had NO problems with it. in fact,i just love it !!!!! also, the screen is priced great. i have ordered many items throughout the years from overstock, so far i have not been disappointed with any of them. enjoy your orders, folks!!

We purchased this screen, in white (yes it is bright white not an off white / antique white), to help break up one long room in our basement. We're using half for a living room and half for an office. So, this screen was great for the job! I was very happy with it. It came completely assembled....no screwing the panels together or anything (awesome!). We don't plan to open and close the blinds on them all the time, so it's not a big deal...but they don't open/close very easily. You have to "roll" over a little wheel thing thats at the top of it to get the blinds to open/close. I guess I was expecting a draw string pull. It actually looks nicer without one of those, so it's not a big deal. I'm very happy with the purchase. Each panel is between 17.5 and 18 inches (they're hand made panels, so they do vary). You can't tell if one is more narrow at the top than the bottom though. I love this screen!
