I bought this for a friend in another state, so I haven't actually seen it. She loved it however. She said you could tell it was unique and hand crafted. According to her the wood is a lovely color and she said the overall appearance is beautiful. She hasn't decided if she's going to hang it or not, but she said either way it looks good.

I gave this cross as a gift to a friend for his ordination to the priesthood. He and his wife love it! It is a very beautiful cross that I would recommend to others.

I purchased this cross as a gift to me. the wood is very high quality with a nice polish to it. the carving is exceptional.The hanging mechanism permits it to sit flush with the wall. it is one of my favorite pieces in my collection.

This precious item is truly full of grace of workmanship and design. However,the first package arrived with the item badly damaged during its LONG journey to me. It seemed almost obscene that anyone could have carelessly handled and harmed this one of a kind item whose maker put such care and quality of effort forth to make it.. However, the replacement arrived in half the time of the original and was in perfect shape. If you choose for a gift occasion, Leave at least a month for this beautiful, made- to- order item to arrive.

A beautifully carved and well designed addition to my home decor. I believe this item would be an excellent gift choice for anyone wanting to share an original item of art that will no doubt be passed down from one generation to the next. Arrived quickly for a made to order item created and shipped from outside the US. The excellent condition upon arrival suggested good planning in shipping preparation. The metal hanger (flush with the backing) assured me of the items security while on display, and eased installation. I would buy more of these high quality hand carved crosses in similar styles with varying textures and surface designs to display on the same wall as a grouping if they were available, maybe even some with paint, stain, stones, or metal ornamentation. I really like this item and believe it deserves a position of asthetic prominence as well as symbolic meaning in my home. Thank you.

When this piece arrived, I opened it up immediately and was extremely surprised at the intricate detail of the carvings. I purchased this item for my Mother-in-law for Christmas and now I will be buying one for myself as well. I can¿t wait to grace my home with this amazingly beautiful work of art.

It took a while for it to ship but I bought this as a gift for my mother in-law and she absolutely loved it. It is beautifully done, definitely a work of art. The quality and details are beautiful. It came carefully wrapped and with a description of the artist which I thought was great. I would gladly gift it to someone again, or better yet, buy it for myself!

I sent this to my mother as a Mother's Day gift. She absolutely loves it. She says the size is not overwhelming - but perfect for display on end-tables or coffee tables. She was very impressed with the uniqueness and carvings. So makes for a great gift!

This hand-carved mahogany cross is exquisit, period. I purchased this as a wedding gift for dear friends. This carving is appropriate in just about any decore - even for an outdoor garden area! The craftmanship is amazing, the coloring of the mahogany is rich, varied and glows. Overstock has done their homework well in bringing this Novica artwork to their ever-growing product lines. If you are considering purchasing this item as a gift, the only drawback is the temptation to keep it for yourself!
