'My name is Ketut Taram and I was born in the Gianyar regency, Bali. I began carving on my own in 1992. Balinese culture and tradition inspire my artwork. As the son of Wayan Kicen, a wood carver, it is easy and enjoyable for me to transfer my imagination into my work. Through my art I do hope to provide a good life and a better future for my family, especially for my little child.'

I ordered this piece for my husband for Christmas. He has 2 handcarved hawks he bought when he was stationed in Tawain and he said he watched them carved, Well let me tell you this piece is as beautiful if not more so than the hawks. The workmanship is flawless and well worth the price! I actually feel I got a great deal and am sure they are worth a great deal more. I cannot wait to see his face on Christmas day when he sees this!
