Income generated by this bag helps artisans lead a dignified lifestyle. It also helps fund development projects that aim to help artisans break the poverty cycle. This product is made by artisans in drought-affected Marwar region of West Rajasthan, India. The artisans are distributed over the region in various villages. Profits from this art help in the overall development of the artisan community. Fair Trade practices ensure, fair wages, no child labor, equal rights for women, preservation of traditional arts and development opportunities for these underprivileged artisans.
