Hand-crafted by artisans from Indonesia, this piece was created in a cottage industry. The Table boasts a classic design and is perfect for hallways and entryways. Constructed from Indonesian hardwood this table is sure to be a favorite for years to come.
Bima Trading retains the services of various artisans spread throughout Indonesia to handcraft the funiture that we design for the United States market. These artisans work from home in their villages. Each village specializes in a particular craft and style. Bima, in conjunction with what we term a coordinator, ensures that the village production team has the timber, the drawings and the other essentials to craft the product into the specialty of that particular area. Each village has its own specialized sets of tools to complete their aspect of the crafting of the furniture. The work in progress is then moved to the next village for further enhancements which include polishing, spraying and finishing. In the final process, our coordinator will take charge of the products and have them checked, boxed and placed in the container ready for shipment to the United States. We have working under our direction, in an informal manner, some 60 artisans and their helpers. In order to maintain consistency, each batch is crafted by the same teams.

The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

The table came nicked up on edges. Also the finish was done poorly. The wood had a beautiful grain. I had it refinished and it came out beautiful.
I purchased this table for my small livingroom, that I am changing over to a library look. The table is darker than the photo, however I expected that given the method of production. Very well made, and gives a unique look to my room.
The table looked nothing like its picture, which I examined carefully because I wanted a certain color wood. It looked like a warm brown finish, but wound up to be a dark dark like pine. Very disappointed.
I bought this on sale and glad I got it for that price. I am overall pleased with the table but was not expecting the rustic blemishes on thetable that appears to be by design. The imperfections were too minor to retgurn but would have if i paid full price.
I was very happy with my Kalepso Table... It was darker than shown in the picture, but still a very nice piece of furniture... ... IT was very easy to assemble .. I was also very happy with the short time it took to recieve my order.. I consider this Kalepso Table a very nice piece of furniture and would recommend this product... Just keep in mine , it is darker than shown in the picture...
