Story Behind the Product:
Kazak is an original Afghani design that was woven within that last three decades. These rugs are hand-knotted in the northern part of Afghanistan by the Uzbek and Turkoman women. These impeccable tribal pieces feature six predominate designs. The main colors are always various shades of terracotta and blue. The all-natural vegetable dyes are made from roots, flower petals, and tree bark, giving this rug a natural look and the impression of significance.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

Bought this as an "entrance rug" from one room to another. Looks great and is nice plush and heavy. Wool has the advantage of being easy to vacuum. Pet fur comes up easily from it, unlike the synthetic rugs.
