Story Behind the Art:

About the artist, Khalil Ahmed--I come from a long lineage of carpet weavers. I remember how enthralled my siblings and I would be every time we saw varied colors merging into different weaves. I was taught by my father and older brothers, and at the time it was like a game that offered moments of great fun. As I grew up I took the loom and began to weave my own pieces. It felt so amazing when I finished my first piece!
