Story Behind the Art:

This fun set of two Nicaraguan vases is from San Juan de Oriente, Nicaragua. They are handthrown and decorated with mineral oxides by Fanor Lopez and his wife Candida. Fanor learned how to thrown when he was in his teens from a friend. After his marriage, he taught Candida and they now work together.
