Story Behind the Art:

There are many Indian artisans who work in brass and other metals. Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat present wide range of brass items. Uttar Pradesh is the largest brass and copper-making region in India with numerous centers. It has a rich tradition of metal craft. Sheet metal work using brass is done in Pembarti, on plaques, containers, and vases. The village of Budhiti in Srikaklum produces elegant utensils and products made from brass.
