I passed up purchasing a silk comforter several times in my month trip to China in June 2008. I was happy to find that Overstocks.com had the queen comforter. I ordered the comforter and a devet as a cover. During the order I was able to instant message to a sales person and ask direct questions with instant answers. One question I asked was could I use it as a blanket without the devet and the instant answer was Yes, it works beautifully as a blanket type rather than a top cover if I did not purchase the devet cover. I took the advice of one of the other buyer's rating suggestion that I had read who said the devet would help protect the comforter. The comforter is so soft and so pleasant to sleep under. How did I live without it? I am also looking forward to using it in the winter when it should keep me very warm. I am recommending to my daughter to purchase one for my grandson who has allegeries since silk does not have the agencies which cause allegeries. I am working on that purchase! It would be good for him to have an allegery free bed.

I first used this comforter at my son's home and was so impressed with the quality, warmth, lightness, and appearance of the product, I just had to have one of my own. There is no use and care information with the product and he had another that was ruined by someone who washed it instead of dry cleaning the item. So if you order one, also purchase a silk duvet to protect the comforter.

It's thick, heavy, warm (but not hot). This perfect comforter has resolved my lifelong struggle with polyester-induced night sweats. You will enjoy this product for many moons to come, I know I will.

This product was a little thinner than I had hoped. It is nice, but for price I would have hoped for a little bit more thickness. A duvet cover is definitely needed as it looks like the inside, so don't bother with the embroidery. I would definitely recommend a silk comforter, but the price was a little restrictive so if you can find cheaper try it.

I've been using the same down comforter that my wife and I got for our wedding. I liked it however, I got a little too hot and sweaty from time to time. Because of this, I would usually slept with one leg out or with my feet uncovered. I bought this silk comforter looking for something new and I'm really glad I did. The silk is warm but not hot so now I don't have to sleep with my leg out any more. No more sweating at night. My sister and mother have since bought these comforters and they love them too. I highy recommend this product.

Because of the bird flu plague I have been looking for a down comforter alternative for quite some time when I stumbled upon this. I did not buy it right off the bat because of it's price.After shopping around and finding nothing else I bought it, thinking I was going to be very critical of it's claims and return it if it did not live up to it's expectations.I'm very surprised with it's quality. It keeps my husband and me very warm.I think an important fact that you forgot to mention was it eliminates night sweats.With a down you get overheated but not with this one. I really love it and am glad I took the plunge and bought it. Thank you. Janie

The only words I have to describe this quilt is "WOW". This is an amazing quilt. When my wife bought it I thought she was crazy for spending the money.I think I was even a little angry.I have definitly changed my mind. It's like your sleeping in a cloud. It actually cradles your body.It's hard to believe something so light can keep you so warm. Can't wait to test it out during the summer.I concur 100% with the previous reviewer, IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY. Thanks, Overstock

I bought a silk comforter back in Janurary though not from Overstock as you did not have them at that time. I bought it from another website and paid 399.99 plus 15.00 shipping. This ia a smokin deal!This quilt has more fill and is even bigger then mine.I'm kickin myself in the butt now.I LOVE the silk and use it thru all the seasons.Once you try silk you'll NEVER use down again.Worth every penny!Leave it to Overstock to come up with cheaper prices.
