This is a small clock that is perfect for a space over a door. The workmanship is very good and the materials are very sturdy. This is a charming and useful accent piece that works with any number of decor styles.
We are remodeling our kitchen and consequently don't have a lot of wall space for hanging a clock (lots of new cabinets instead). We had a space above the door that wasn't quite 12" high. I saw this clock and thought it would work for that space. Not only did it work there, it looks fantastic!! It is like a beautiful piece of art designed just for that space! The leaves are beautiful, they aren't flat, but instead they are formed like a real leaf, with a pressed in curve in the flatter part that mimics a real leaf. The color is kind-of a deep patina bronze. The little glass balls catch the light and glisten. WE really LOVE this piece. The beautiful organic way the leaves and tendrils curl and support the glass balls, is very well done, very well balanced. The only down side at all was the part that holds the clock has little tabs on the back that bend in to hold the clock in. One of the tabs was closed wrong and the clock face was a little tilted forward. But an easy fix with a pair of pliers to bend the tab out and push the clock face under it and rebend it to hold the clock correctly. Other then that the clock comes fully assembled and well packed for shipping.
I have been looking for a clock that would fit well into my decor. The shape is perfect. The workmanship is of excellent quality. I was surprised at the weight. I have looked at many clocks in my search, and feel this was the best buy. Very pleased with my purchase
Definitely has a designer look that is far more than its price. It looks like a piece that I traveled around the globe to bring home from some amazing marketplace in India -- people think it must have a great story! (But I don't have to tell them I got in on Overstock!) Very pretty, and I have it centered over an arched doorway, so it not only is functional, but works as a very lovely decorative accent over the door. Love it!!!
