The Story Behind the Product
Ketut lives in a mountain village called Sebatu in central Bali. The villages of Bali specialize in just one export: the village specializes in carving wind chime pieces.
Ketut got her name through birth order. In the Bali culture, families name their children in the order in which they are born, male or female. In order of birth, their children are named Wyan, Made (Mahday), Yoman, and Ketut.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

The bamboo sounds are lovely, but I think the string might be slightly too short, it takes a pretty swift breeze to get them going. If not for that, then 5 stars all the way.
This chime has a nice sound, but we have had a couple of problems. The three wind chatchers get tangled up and then the chime doesn't work well. Also, the cord holding the chime broke. We replaced the cord with a copper wire, but it broke again, and is now waiting to be repaired again,
How often do you shop at Overstock.com? Few times a year
I received this item as a gift. The picture on the website makes it look shiny and richly colored - it's not. You would think that the sound it makes would be nice - it isn't. It sounds like what it is; bamboo thunking on bamboo. It arrived in a tangled mess. As it's neither attractive looking or sounding, I can't recommend this windchime.

This bamboo windchime is beautiful. I have it hanging from my back patio cover. We had some high winds a couple weeks ago and it withstood the force of the wind. I also noticed that the chime has a very suddle sound, nothing annnoying or disturbing to me or neighbors. Its a very peaceful and calming sound. I just love it! I gave it 5 stars on everything, because I think its well worth it!
