It is thinner than I expected. It is not a heavy throw like is commonly seen on the backs of couches. It is made for a decorative bedspread and is just beautiful with vivid colors. I love it. It will make a very nice gift.

Although my two hand-woven breadspreads were very pretty, they turned out to be Indian cotten spreads, very thin. They also faded 50% with every washing

the blanket is a thin cover, and when I ordered by bulk, only got one. I had to go through a return process to get what I ordered, overstock was great about clearing up the problem as I needed it as a gift. The product is not however exceptional quality.
