Story Behind the Art

This bowl is made in the small village of Binh Duong province which is located immediately to the north of Ho Chi Minh City, is situated on relatively level terrain, and is crossed by the Saigon, Dong Nai and Be rivers. This province is known for its strong, rich, unique woods and hand carved craftsmanship. The factory where these pieces are crafted employs over 100 people from the village and is growing. Your order helps them to improve their lives and that of their families.

This is a nice looking piece with very light fruit. The handle is very weak and may break if heavy fruit was in the bowl and you tried to pick it up. Mine came damaged with the handle broken, I did glue it back together and its okay. But I do not dare pick it up.
