Hand-carved Ashanti Unity Stool (Ghana)

First of all, I ordered the item on Sunday and got it on Wednesday, with free shipping (impossible to beat). The stool came very well packaged with no assembly required. I love African style furniture and this piece is a great buy. Looks very nice by my entrance. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and how the order was handled. Keep it up the excellent work :-)

After reading the reviews, I knew this item would be small and so I purchased it as a plant stand and it works. The stool is a little wobbly without the plant, but stable with weight. I would only purchase this item if you are intending it to be a plant stand, to showcase a nice piece of art on a sturdy shelf, or a stool for a child. Workmanship is great!

I received this as a gift after considering purchasing it for myself. Its not really practical as its too small for anything. Read carefully the size of this one and others like it on site. They are all exceptionally small and cannot bear the weight you may expect a large stool would. The craftsman however is exceptional and if you are looking at this as art, its a wonderful peice. I gave workmanship a 3 because I consider the whole of the peice from the artist and more time should be taken to scan his customers in order ot determine what the customer is looking for. This is a very attractive piece of furniture. No assembly required. Good workmanship. I wish I'd paid more attention to the size description - I was expecting a stool rather than a footstool, but I'm just as happy with it and it was my own mistake. I get compliments on it frequently

This stool is not a good size for an adult stool but it can be used for so much more. When I first got it I used it as a space filler but it works well as a plant holder. It looks really good with candles arranged on it (i wouldn't suggest burning candles directly on the stool). I've gotten nothing but compliments on this stool.
