Hand Painted Writing Desk (India)

This little table looked alot better in the picture. The finish is very rough to the touch and on the legs the paint crumbles off when you touch it. The trim which would be quite pretty around the drawers is broken off in sections. Some of the sections were off before they were packed because they were not in the box. So it was not due to rough handling during shipping. I would have sent this back but my husband destroyed the box before I told him what I intended. I will have to fix it myself or sell it at a yard sale and try to recoup some of my loss.

This is a beautiful table, however workmanship is poor. The leg broke during assemply and there were several chips on the relief paint around the drawer. I managed to fix the leg, but it is not sturdy. Otherwise, it would have been very beautiful and fits perfectly with my decor. I did keep it.

HORRIPLE WORKMANSHIP. LEG IS CRACKED. PIECES FALL OFF. ITEM IS WOOBBLY. I HATE IT

I was so happy to receive my writing desk...but, it not packaged well at all...the corners were damaged, the drawer broken , looked like mold or something on the bottom of the legs etc. I was so sad because it really is a beautiful piece of furniture-just keep in mind not solid wood either which disapointed me as well...It deeper in color very pretty& different.Over Stock said they would e-mail me return forms within 2 days-so I guess its going back:( You cant win them all, even though this happened I love over stock.
