Hamadan is not only one of the oldest cities in Iran, it is also one of civilization's most ancient urban centers. Its origin dates back to several centuries before Christ. In the Hamadan area, 1500 villages specialize in their own designs, creating over 3000 variations. This intricate rug boasts rich colors in dark blue, red, peach, green, and tan.

Slight variation in the color and designs in each piece is normal in handmade rugs. Due to the difference of monitor colors, some rug colors may vary slightly. Good product for the price. Next best thing to having a real Persian antique rug. Looks very similar. Delivery was quick and rug arrived in great condition.

I'm very pleased with this rug, though it differs a bit from the photo shown on the website. The pattern is a bit different and the overall dominant color is a rich, dark indigo blue accented by orange/rust colors. (At least this one was). As well, the dimensions are slightly different, that is, 4 feet 3 inches x 9 feet 7 inches, rather than the stated 3.5 x 10. But it's quite beautiful. I'd reccomend this; just be aware of size and color variations.
