Story Behind the Art:

Bangalore India is the hub of silk fabrics. You will find a huge section of people who are involved in manufacturing silk; a lot of them are into weaving traditional Indian sarees -- as Indian woman wear silk sarees on all the occasions. India's Heritage factory features looms that are especially used for weaving silk fabric for window curtains. Each weaver in the factory has gained experience over the years, and their experience travels from one generation to the other.

This is a beautiful curtain; the embroidery is lovely. The colors are more subtle than shown in the photo; the fabric is a champagne gold, rather than the yellow depicted in the picture, and the embroidery colors are more muted.
