From the exotic island of Bali, long known for its unique people and colorful culture, comes a native artisan whose gifts have touched the lives of ardent art lovers and Balinese indigents a like. In 1993, Pramana Suantara opened his workshop in the small village of Ubud, that has since produced some of the finest examples of Balinese artisanship. Yet it was Pramana's experience as a caregiver for the Red Cross that inspired his philanthropic mission. For ten years he provided aid to the sick and suffering people of Indonesia, traveling from Badung to Tabanan. During this time, when opportunity afforded him, Pramana would often sit and reflect on the Balinese beaches, collecting the hued and motley shells born from the azure sea. Now he continues to assist the Balinese people through his wonderful handicraft. Assisted by local and rural artisans, who have benefited at his hands, Pramana Suantara shares with you authentic Balinese shell craft and jewelry. He continues, through his work, to support and preserve the people of Bali and Balinese tradition.

This is a colorful, casual pendant easily worn on a chain or omega. A mix of southwest and sparkle. Very glad I purchased. Amazed how quickly it arrived.

I really like this, it is not too big, but has great colors and is just unique enough to fit my slightly quirky personality. :O) I agree with the other rater, if you like reds and purples, then this is for you. You will like it too!

This is a perfect gift for the woman who has everything. It is whimsical and unique, and it makes a bold statement. It is a real conversation piece, as well as being versitile. If you wear a lot of reds and purples, it is a must have.
