Hand-carved Ashanti Unity Stool (Ghana)

This stool is not a good size for an adult stool but it can be used for so much more. When I first got it I used it as a space filler but it works well as a plant holder. It looks really good with candles arranged on it (i wouldn't suggest burning candles directly on the stool). I've gotten nothing but compliments on this stool.

it really looks good though it appears a little bit larger in picture than in actual appearance. were are pretty eclectic couple so it blends pretty well in our collection of furnitures.I would surely recommend.

We ordered this item so we could use it as a conversation piece, rather than a practical item. It arrived quickly (thanks O!). The first thing we noticed is that it is very lightweight, which doesn't really make any difference. It is on the small side, but exactly what you would expect a footstool to be. You can actually see the marks from where they used tools to shape the stool, and it is really quite unique. It does not, however, look like the picture listed *it does look similar though*, but since it is handmade, they warn you that every stool looks different. We are very happy with this item and would buy something like this again.

The stool is beautiful, but I would use it more as a decoration piece than use it as a stool. It's a bit small and low to sit on. The workmanship is beautiful and it looks exactly as displayed in the picture. I received the stool three days after I submitted the order.
