Alfredo Inga was born on July 18, 1960, in Catacao in northern Peru, considered the 'City of Filigree.'At the age of eleven, he began to learn the art with friends who taught him little by little. 'I enjoyed it because a jeweler's work is a delicate art, and I was able to create beautiful pieces for women,' the artist recalls. 'My inspiration comes from nature, especially from flowers. First I design a piece, then I carefully craft it.'

I had to ask Overstock for a status report on the item when I received another item ordered at the same time, but only saw that this item was "accepted" with no indication of when it might be delivered. It was delivered about 2 weeks after the order, but just 3 days after my inquiry. Hmmm. It is very pretty and my wife loves it, so I guess it was worth the wait.
