Pretty but...

attackcat from Manassas, VA, Feb 10, 2010

Very lovely, but not very sturdy. While decorative, it's is still a waste bin. That being said you'd want it to be a bit more sturdily built than this is. Probably wouldn't buy this again. Would hunt for something with a very similar look, but much more solidly built.

Like It!

namaste74 from Sound Beach, NY, Oct 7, 2009

I ordered this item on a Monday night and received it first thing Wednesday morning! Fast Shipping!! It's pretty, and like others have commented the pictures are glued onto the basket. I ordered it for my bedroom for my trash. It's larger than I thought it was going to be, but overall I like it and am happy with the purchase.

Nice, but not as expected.

pizzafromanotherplanet Dec 25, 2008

This item is not exactly what I expected, but still nice. The images appear as if the geishas are painted onto the side; however, they are just paper images glued onto the wood. Other than that, it is crafted fairly well.

A Detail

frewing from New York, Dec 24, 2008

The image is not painted on the wood, but on paper attached to the wood.

Cheaply made, but looks rich enough!

Skyebird from Clovis, NM, Oct 19, 2008

I bought this waste basket with the matching Celestial Music "Faux-Paintings" unaware that they matched, hehe. This basket made the cut, even though it is not very solid. It is obvious to the eye that it was not an expensive piece, yet still enviable because of it's beauty. I really like this piece, only wish it were made of solid wood, or a heavier wood. I really cannot tell if it is truly made out of the Mahogany and Elm described in the ad, but it is beautiful and a welcomed addition to my home nonetheless. I think as long as one doesn't mind that it doesn't have much weight to it, and might have small imperfections, it would make a lovely addition to any home with Asian accents or dark furniture.
