Story Behind the Art

My name is Ampai Rungsrisookjit. From the time I was young, my mother was always sewing. She was my first teacher for everything in this life. One day, I started to design some clothing. I mixed my ability of sewing and embroidery work together and I designed pieces based upon the traditional Akha hill tribe embroidery blended with northern Thai weaving; I also mix modern styles in my works.
