Pagoda in the Heavens Scroll (China)

Add a touch of the ancient East to you decor with our Pagoda in the Heavens Scroll.

This scroll is a song dynasty style Chinese watercolor and ink painting and is a traditional rendering of a celestial dwelling. Each scroll is hand painted on silk covered rice paper, matted with fine silk brocade, and attached to a weighted rosewood scroll rod. The piece comes with a silk strap hanger at the top for easy mounting. Each scroll was painted and matted by artisans in Hunan province of mainland China.

Story behind the product:

This factory is located in the Guangdong region of mainland China. The father is the main person in charge and employs many family members. Day to day operations are run by an aunt while the son is being groomed to take over once his father retires - all of this family greatly adds to the quality and productivity of this factory. Over 300 skilled and non-skilled craftsman work together, passing knowledge and craftsmanship from generation to generation. The working conditions of this group are excellent. The factory provides an excellent lunch each day for the staff. Attending strictly to the local and international anti-dumping and fair trade practice laws, Oriental Homes is proud to bring a piece of their culture into your home.

The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in color and sizing. Subtle shade variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements are approximate.

I purchased this item as a gift for a friend of mine and I was very happy for the outcome. The scroll looks nice on any wall, either in an office or a living room.
