Story Behind the Art:

Takako was born in Kobe, Japan, a cosmopolitan city and seaport in the island of Hoshu. In 1995 Takako moved to Bali, lured by the quietness and cultural intensity of the island. 'I love it where I live in Bali because it is a beautiful town with a spiritual atmosphere. And, I also love Kobe, where I am from,' Takako tells us. 'My designs incorporate traditional patterns from Japan and Indonesia, under modern stylizations. Design and creativity have always been part of my life, and I really don't know any other way of living!'
