Story Behind the Art:

Jaskaran: 'I come from a family with a long lineage in the textile arts, so it was only natural that I would fall in love with the gifts of the weft and warp. All of my designs come from my heart. When I get inspired, I roughly scribble a few sketches and relate them to different scenarios before I make a rough swatch. I embellish them with hand-embroidered motifs because I feel they give it warmth and a sense of uniqueness. The most important prize is when people express their appreciation for my work. Their comments encourage me and motive me to keep creating something new. Like every designer, I look forward to making a name for myself in the international market.'
