Story Behind the Art:
My name is Jariya Kakaew. I grew up in a small, warm family environment. My mother has long specialized in batik and I often helped her. However, demand for batik work decreased and my brother resigned from his job to design cotton clothes. Our cotton designs focus on using natural materials for a modern lifestyle. We use the method of coiling thread to decorate a lot of the work. It brings plenty of work to everyone involved, including people from different villages who help us transform cotton into different styles of clothing and decorative items. I'm proud of the fact that there is a story behind every design we make, and that each item represents a collection of highly-skilled group of people.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

I am very pleased with my purchase. I wore the blouse with an undershirt because of the open arms. A lot of my co-workers liked the blouse very much. I received a lot of complements and I would buy another one if it was availble in a different color.
The other reviews are correct about sizing tending to be a little large, but that's what I like. I ordered an XL because there were no L available, and after trying it on I think it is a bit big for me, but that's perfect for hot humid summers at a lake. The shirt is beautiful; color, design, everything. Even the packaging was beautiful and economic.
This cotton blouse is my favorite piece in my summer wardrobe. We were having brunch at a lovely restaurant in Washington, DC when I wore it for the very first time with a pair of champagne-colored linen slacks, I got so many compliments that day, it was almost embarrassing. It is such an interesting, unusual and well designed piece of clothing; I feel lucky to have found it on Overstock.
It took awhile to receive this beautiful blouse. It actually shipped all the way from Thailand! Although I fell in love with it, there are a few points I'd like to share. Firstly, the sizing is huge, secondly the color is a bit different than shows on my monitor. My monitor shows the fabric as a cool beige/stone color, but when it arrived it was actually what I would call a grayish sage. It still looks lovely with the henna and brown colored embroidery, though. Thirdly, I knew I would have to reorder down a size, and suspect when it arrives that I might have gone down 2 sizes. Lastly, it had a big run in the fabric on the front, so I would have had to ship it back anyway. A really unique piece for a decent price.
