Story Behind the Art

Veronica Ossio studied Sanitary Engineering for three years, then turned to working with huamanga stone, which is a Peruvian alabaster. She loves the wonderful, natural beauty of Andean stones, which makes each piece unique.

'I would like my art to transmit an ecological message for humans to live along with nature so we may get closer to our origins. That way, we'll remember our biological essence in the midst of modernism and technology. When I exhibit my work, I marvel at nature's own work in every stone. I imagine the history of their formation, and how each stone marks the passing of time.'<.
