Regular vacuuming is the best way to keep your sisal rug fresh. In low humidity areas, light applications of water will strengthen the fibers: Vacuum to remove excess dirt, then use a damp cloth or spray bottle. The moisture will tighten up the carpet fibers as they dry.

I needed an entry rug to match my larger chitali rug in chocolate color, and this rug did so perfectly. It has a thin rubber backing so that it is unlikely to slip, and appears very durable. While it is somewhat expensive, I was able to buy it at a marginal promotional rate. It laid flat almost immediately.
