The story behind the product:

With over 5,000 years of history, Ningbo, in the Zhejiang province of China, has for centuries been famous for its legendary furniture. Many Ningbo craftsmen, today, have several decades experience in dealing and restoring antiques, as well as constructing new furniture using ancient techniques. The 14 workers who helped bring this item to life are adept in traditional folk methods in carpentry, engraving, copper-smithing, and painting.

This came already put together and it was pretty but for the price I was just a little disappointed in the structure the little drawers are uneven and the baskest have little stains on them. It is pretty and I do get compliments on it. My husband liked it and I was afraid he wouldn't. It's very light weight.
