The other reviewers said that these were paper... mine looks great. I don't know how they are supposed to look, but they look good to me. I think it's a great value. Workmanship and appearance I gave a 4 because there were places where there was some white color on the frame, about 2 places, really isn't anything obvious.

These were a generalized disappointment, unfortunately. They have decent frames that compare to the description, but please believe that these are not paintings, they are poorly pasted on thin pieces of print paper, backed onto cheap cardboard, totally in line with other reviews I chose to optimistically dismiss when deciding to purchase. I kept them due to overstock's great customer service on the phone, however, will be needing to replace the cheap "art" with something I purchase down the road from a real artist. These look great in subdued lighting, as another reviewer also stated. They absolutely will embarrass you if you allow any of your guests to see them for what they are up close, so hang then in a dark area up and away a bit. Mine will be above large dressers in an Asian themed room. For the price, they are a good buy however, for four small pieces. I am learning on overstock there are a mix of really fantastic steals, and "you get what you pay for" deals". This leans heavily on the side of reality, but if you can't afford nice art just yet, these will be better than most things in this price range locally. I will also mention I bought the matching waste bin, although it does not advertise as matching, they are made with the exact same four pasted prints.

The overall appearance of the prints are good, and they make a nice accent to an oriental themed room. They shouldn't be used as the central point of focus as they don't really bear up to close scrutiny (plastic frames and glued on prints), but again they do make a nice accent in my application where the main piece is a 60 yr old hand carved Japanese cedar chest.

The pictures are cardboard reproductions that are framed in a carved-like frame. The frames look great and enhance the poor quality of the prints. They appear of higher quality when viewed from a distance. An inexpensive accent to an Asian-themed room.

These paintings are not realy paintings. They are cheep prints pasted on cardboard and not pasted well. They are framed in plastic frames that have been made to look like tarnished metal or wood. But from a distance they look very good. So if you are going to put them up some where were they are high up on the wall and can only be seen from a distance they are a steal. Other wise do not buy them because it will cost you a fortune to return them because of their weight.

These were a great deal to add to my asian collection of art. They look great. I am wondering if they are from China or Japan. Aren't Geisha from Japan?

These are very pretty. Orange in tone, Chinese traditional in looks, framed in dark woods. This set of four is a good size and look pretty as a set. You will like these if you like Asian art and furniture.

I can't say that I'm overjoyed with the quality of these pictures. Up close in the daylight they look pretty cheap but for where we put them, they look awesome.

I ordered these paintings for a Christmas gift. I wanted to see them first before I sent them to my friend and I was really happy with the purchase. My only complain is that as soon as I opened the package I felt the smell of the painting, a little too strong for my taste. Also I had specified that this item was a gift, but instead all the paintings were wrapped on bubble wrap, not even in a box.

While I usually do not purchase art or decorative items online, I took a chance with this item after reading all the reviews from other customers. The price seemed right, and I could not be happier with the purchase. The pieces are just stunning, and complement our decor beautifully. I would highly recommend this purchase!

The frames are great. The problem is that no one seems to have paid any attention to the print quality - the ink and colors - before framing the prints. One picture has colors that have bleeded too much, and so the picture looks very dark and patchy in numerous places, while another picture has huge areas of the print looking totally faded and bleached. A bit of attention to color correction during the printing would have made the pictures look really nice - but unfortunately nobody seems to have bothered with that! Only two of the four pictures look nice and are up in my apartment - which is the only reason I did not return the whole lot. Overall - I did not get a good return on my investment. This is my first purchase from Overstock.com - and the shopping experience has been very disappointing.

The celestial paintings were cool BUT there was knicks in one of the pictures that made an otherwise awesome purchase not so awesome.

The paint was peeled off in certain areas. Although the paintings looked pretty good, some areas were scuffed and obviosuly the workmanship was not very good
