The Story Behind the Art

My name is Duangkamol Srisukri. Most of my works are both Thai and Chinese reproductions like vases, ginger jars, and figurines. My intention is to maintain the ancient art of making Celadon and stoneware so that our future generations can enjoy these pieces. Together with other artists, we have created beautiful hand-crafted pieces with ornate incisions and bas relief.

I collect celadon. Most of my collection is from Korea because that is the best celadon, but most of the Korean celadon is very similar looking. This vase, which is made in Thailand, is very different. It looks like a pineapple, has a bas relief, and is in several different shades of green. I was delighted when I unwrapped it, and it may be the star of my collection.

The Vase is beautiful. I failed to read the product dimensions and was surprised when I opened the package. But the vase sits well on a small bathroom shelf. And with a single red rose, it looks warm and perfect.
