The Story Behind the Art

In the HeNan province of China, almost everyone knows how to carve jade. HeNan is located in central China and is historically famous for its unique jade productions and art. Jade carving is a traditional skill that has been passed down for generations. Most families have a jade carving workshop in their home. A coordinator gathers orders and then assigns them to artists in town. At the end of the day, they gather the completed pendants and pass them along to the coordinator to fulfill the orders. Jade carving is what the town relies on to make a living. The artists hope you will help them keep their traditional art form alive as well as proving them with a living.

I just received this necklace. Yes, it's big but not too heavy to wear. It's a pretty unusual piece that'll spice up any wardrobe. I like it a lot and it gets noticed.

The pendant is very pretty with a lot of details given to the carving of the jade. It is a bit larger than I had thought it would be but I really enjoy the quality in which it was made.

This is a very beautiful necklace, but it's much larger than I expected it would be. I won't wear it as much as I would if it were just a little smaller.
