    Intricately hand-carved Chinese calligraphy makes this elegant Black Calligraphy Tray a unique and beautiful piece, suitable both for decorative and practical use.
    • Handcrafted in China by artisans working in the age-old tradition of China's Fujian Province
    • Lacquered in layers of red and black to create a unique and beautiful matte patina
    • Built with Philippine mahogany and elm wood
    • Based on traditional designs steeped in ancient Asian history
    • Measures 13 inches long x 10 inches wide x 3 inches deep
    The Story Behind the Product

    This factory is located in the Guangdong region of mainland China. The father is the main person in charge and employs many family members. Day to day operations are run by an aunt while the son is being groomed to take over once his father retires - all of this family greatly adds to the quality and productivity of this factory. Over 300 skilled and non-skilled craftsman work together, passing knowledge and craftsmanship from generation to generation. The working conditions of this group are excellent. The factory provides an excellent lunch each day for the staff. Attending strictly to the local and international anti-dumping and fair trade practice laws, Oriental Homes is proud to bring a piece of their culture into your home.

    Much smaller than it looked in photo. The bottom is simply wood laminate and is already peeling up at one corner. I've only had it a couple of weeks. I am disappointed in the workmanship. Definitely not worth the cost!

    This tray is so beautiful. It is the second one that I have ordered. It goes beautifully in my black and red living room. It looks very exotic.
