Handcrafted Silk-filled Queen Comforter (China)

I passed up purchasing a silk comforter several times in my month trip to China in June 2008. I was happy to find that Overstocks.com had the queen comforter. I ordered the comforter and a devet as a cover. During the order I was able to instant message to a sales person and ask direct questions with instant answers. One question I asked was could I use it as a blanket without the devet and the instant answer was Yes, it works beautifully as a blanket type rather than a top cover if I did not purchase the devet cover. I took the advice of one of the other buyer's rating suggestion that I had read who said the devet would help protect the comforter. The comforter is so soft and so pleasant to sleep under. How did I live without it? I am also looking forward to using it in the winter when it should keep me very warm. I am recommending to my daughter to purchase one for my grandson who has allegeries since silk does not have the agencies which cause allegeries. I am working on that purchase! It would be good for him to have an allegery free bed.

I first used this comforter at my son's home and was so impressed with the quality, warmth, lightness, and appearance of the product, I just had to have one of my own. There is no use and care information with the product and he had another that was ruined by someone who washed it instead of dry cleaning the item. So if you order one, also purchase a silk duvet to protect the comforter.

It's thick, heavy, warm (but not hot). This perfect comforter has resolved my lifelong struggle with polyester-induced night sweats. You will enjoy this product for many moons to come, I know I will.

This product was a little thinner than I had hoped. It is nice, but for price I would have hoped for a little bit more thickness. A duvet cover is definitely needed as it looks like the inside, so don't bother with the embroidery. I would definitely recommend a silk comforter, but the price was a little restrictive so if you can find cheaper try it.
