Story behind the Art
Yumiko Nakayama was born in Japan. He has been living in Bali for almost 18 years. Yumiko Nakayama has made Balinese art and culture close to her life. The local art and culture has appealed to her since the first time came to Bali. She was challenged to make something different from what was being sold at local market. She worked on various kind of sandals made of leather and satin bags for sometime before deciding to work on beaded batik bag.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

This bag didn't quite have the same "WOW" factor as in the picture but it is still a nice bag. The material was not as strong as I'd hoped. I did get a complement the first time I used it as a bag. I didn't feel it was as sturdy as it shoud be for an everyday purse.
I now use it for a tote in addition to my handbag and that works fine.
My purse is as described, the size as promised. I LOVE every Novica item and truly thank Overstock for teaming up with the company. WONDERFUL CHOICE. There are a couple of shades of green, both warm and cool, and golden beads that bring out the persimmon-orange color in the fabric. Truly a worldstock look to enjoy and fun for summer. I've purchased several jewelry items and purses from Novica artists, and I adore every one of them. I will definitely continue to check for new Novica every week! Thanks, Big O!!!!
I am returning the bag as it doesn't match the item in the online catalog. I wanted a zip top as per the description and it was a snap top. Also, the bag was slightly smaller than described.
