The bamboo bowl is beautiful and true to the color shown. The craftmanship is supurb. It's surprisingly light in weight. If you like shiney, bright accents in a room, you would love this piece. The shipment time was very fast. I think my friend will love it when I give it to her on her B-Day!

I have always loved bamboo; it has fascinated me since childhood, perhaps because there was none where I grew up. I also love lacquered things from boxes to furniture. I was attracted by the simplicity of the Pedestal Bowl and when I saw the price, I ordered it immediately and was thrilled with it when it arrived. I love the color, the style, the lacquer and the bamboo. It is simply very pleasant to look at and is gracing my kitchen counter at the moment, filled with fruit: a pineapple, mangoes, limes and avocados. It makes for a a lovely presentation. I may use the bowl occasionally as part of a center piece -- perhaps during the Holidays -- on my marble dining room table. It is a very versatile piece.

I bought this bowl as a present for a friend with very discerning taste. She was delighted with it, and sent a photo so I could see how rich and beautiful the color really is. This is what I have been looking for. I love the color and size. I have the bowl in my entryway on a nice wood table for keys. It works great for this. Everyone has positive comments about this bowl.

The dish is beautifully made and looks wonderful on my dining room table. Since it is the holiday season, tt is filled with apples and oranges and tangerines with a few unshelled walnuts, reflecting the season. The color is pure and very festive and goes with the red touches in my kitchen. I am contemplating getting the round bowl for my living room. Thank you Overstock for first-class merchandise.

I got this bowl as a decorative piece for my kitchen. I have the brown/reds/oranges (cafe inspired) in my kitchen. I received the bowl quickly, and when I opened the box the color was better than the picture shows. A beautiful shade of deep red. I put it on top of of my fridge with decrative spheres. BEAUTIFUL! Everyone who comes over loves it....

I am using this on my dining room table with decorative ceramic and ornamental spheres.. My dining room is done in tan/gold garnet, light green, etc. (tuscan). I can use it in several places in my decor if I choose. Came packed well and undamaged.
