Story Behind the Art

Born in 1976 on Bintan Island, Indonesia, to Chinese parents, Budiman originally studied interior design in Jakarta before creating his workshop in 2000, at age 24. Budiman's concept comes from the realization that the rich tradition of Indonesian craftsmanship could be used in modern way to create simple yet contemporary products with an Asian touch.
