Faustino Maldonado uses traditional weaving techniques to craft this shoulder bag, a veritable Andean dream.

Faustino Maldonado was born in Hualhuas. Because his parents and grandparents were artisans, he learned at an early age to weave on rustic looms, to prepare the warp using the pushca, and spin on the rueca. Maldonado's work is a representation of the art that has been passed down from generation to generation within his family. The family motto has been, "I will never let go of either my grandfather or grandson's hands, for what I have learned from the elders, I will teach to the young."

I just got this bag yesterday from UPS and it's beautiful. Just the right size and the strap is the perfect length for wearing across the body. The colors are fantastic and go with most of my wardrobe. I think this little bag will be used a lot!

As a spinner and weaver myself, I think this is a great product! I love the colors and quality. Two suggestions for the artist--tighten the weave and shorten the shoulder strap by two inchs and you will have the perfect bag!

My wife loved it. I thought it was a little too small as other reviewers had mentioned. But she likes it and it gets noticed which i guess is good. Has a good size zipper pocket on the inside.

I loved this bag. Colors are beautiful. The strap is way long - and so is the wait to get the bag. This is the first time that I have had to wait so long for the merchandise to arrive. I noticed after I ordered that it did state up to 15 business days (3 weeks) and it took everybit of that to arrive.
