Story Behind the Art

'I was born in Jaipur, India. For me, working in jewelry is like being in dreamland, for I have always wanted to be connected to gems and jewelry. Many in Jaipur have a long lineage in crafts and trade, handed down from generation to generation, my husband's family among them. They have worked in crafting jewelry for many years, and, when I married him, I spent endless time watching them work. Slowly, my husband encouraged me to create some jewelry, thus I started on my journey. I am greatly influenced by the ancient designs and I bring them to my work. I also work on contemporary themes.'
