About the Artist: Alfredo Falcon
'I was born in the capital of Peru on August 7, 1968. When I was but a small child I learned from my parents the best weaving techniques. Like me, they had learned them from their own parents. This makes us a family entirely devoted to the world of textiles, and we have been for generations.
'Nowadays I combine weaving by hand and on classic machinery, remaining true to Inca and colonial motifs. I would like for the world to receive through my work high quality products, with modern colors and traditional motifs.'

Wore for the first time yesterday. Wool was scratchy/itchy around mock-neckline, but otherwise very comfortable. Love the rich color yarn mix and overall look, especially hoodie feature. Fabric warm enough for Autumn temps w/long sleeve top/sweater underneath. Poncho lays flat over the body and does not add unattractive bulk which is important for a 14/XL gal, yet it is wide enough for ample coverage. A bit overpriced, i/m/o, but you can't beat Overstock's low, flat shipping charge, so it's an acceptable trade-off , especially for hard-to-find items.
I bought this for my wife for Christmas. It was delivered in a timely fashion and is a lovely poncho. It may be just a bit overpriced but all things considered is worth the cost. My wife says it¿s a bit scratchy on naked skin (hence my rating on the comfort level) but that is to be expected as it IS wool. She especially liked that it has a hood. I would recommend the item.
How often do you shop at Overstock.com? Few times a year
this went out of stock before i could grab one, and i asked for a notice if it came back in. that time i got it in time and although shipping took a while, it was WELL worth the wait! the fabric is naturally VERY soft and light but warm. putting it on creates instant comfort, and in my opinion the look is quite sophisticated. the colors are richer than on the screen, too. i expect this to be a serious basic in my wardrobe for the coming months.
Just received this poncho. It has a rugged, ethnic look to it- very cool. The neck opening is somewhat like a mock turtleneck, which I like. I also like the hood, which is the one feature that sold me, since I love hoodies. The yarn is soft and I like the drape. Looking forward to wearing it!
