Story Behind the Art:

Nalinee says, 'Though I have always enjoyed, admired and loved India's exotic jewelry, it was almost on a whim that I decided to design. My jewelry career first began as a hobby, but, eventually, my jewelry became so popular that I started offering it to stores. I use sterling silver, natural gemstones and freshwater pearls; my style is a mix of contemporary urban and traditional themes. Four craftspeople work with me, while I do the conceptualizing and designing. My designs are based on sacred jewelry from southern India and pieces worn by the royal families of Rajasthan.'
