Customer Reviews
I decided to buy this rug based on the good reviews. I'm not a rug expert, but this rug appears well-made and looks expensive. As other reviewers have stated, the rug appears quite different than in the advertised image since it is more of a subdued wine/deep rose color rather than the ruby red shown in the photo. The colors are dark, but the design is very intricate, and it feels nice and silky underfoot (I put cut-to-order carpet padding underneath). It looks very dramatic and rich on my light maple floor, but it doesn't compete with the other furnishings in my living room. I think this rug was a good investment since it will work in many future settings. Very elegant.
excellent value. As one might infer from the price, the density of knots, and the fineness (that is, thinness) of the yarn used to make the knots, is not as great as in a more expensive rug. The result is a "heavier" rug. In a traffic area, this can be an advantage. The red is a subdued rose - not the somewhat shiny a red-orange in the picture (at least on our screen). That means the color is more "authentic" for the design. It also means it is a darker rug even in a sunny room.

This rug is an exceptional color..deep blue based reds and black not a tinge of orange/yellow in the reds. Weave is tight. Tiny drawback for us, we live on the desert and have animals so that luscious color I so appreciate requires a little more vacuuming. Very beautiful and a rug we'll keep.

A beautiful quality rug. A pleasure and a bargain! Colors more muted which makes quality shine though.

The rug is lovely! It's a little faded one one end--I bet it was partially unrolled to show someone and never got rolled up again. This is normal for vegetable dyes, and will not be noticeable in a year or so. I was hesitant to buy a rug this expensive on Overstock, but what a deal! Tight weave, not too much pile, handsome geometric pattern.
