Story Behind The Art

These rugs are hand-knotted in the northern part of Afghanistan by the Uzbek and Turkoman women. These impeccable tribal pieces feature six predominate designs and the main colors are always various shades of terracotta and blue. Woven in Ghazni, a city that is world famous for producing one of the finest sheep wools.
