I am very happy with these lamps. I ordered two and was vay happy to discover they look better than the photos on the website! They look great and have a wonderful color on the vase and the shades.

the base of the lamp i received is substantially darker than one pictured, and lacks the translucent quality that is indicated -to me-in the picture. the shade is also much darker--almost a dark amber color. the braid trim on the shade is a gold color. i question whether it is really a fabric shade, although i haven't a clue what it is. the lamp is interesting, with it's rectangular base and shade, and seems of decent quality on first impression. shopping online is always a gamble, i guess.
