16-drawer Medicine Chest (South Korea)

After receiving my shipment I carefully opened and removed my new treasure. I was very pleased with the fact that nothing was broken in shipment and that the Korean medicine chest had no scratches or blemishes. I was a little surprised that it wasn't a little larger. I had measured to check size and hadn't taken into account the wings when checking what the width would be. The drawers are of a size that would hold maybe a couple of decks of tarot cards each. The storage behind the doors is approximately a hand's length deep and high and approximately a forearm and hand's width. Not bad storage for a medicine cabinet. I would love to find this in the size of a chest of drawers. Beautifully appointed brass accents. Cheers to the Koreans and to Overstock .com

Just got this yesterday.Some of the people reviewing said that the wings on the top were damaged but mine came in perfect condition. It really is a VERY nice piece of furniture, much nicer than I was expecting. The detail and finish are really nice, a great accent piece.The cost seems a bit much for something of this size, however its well worth it when you see how nice it is.It is a little smaller than I expected, even tho measurements are correct.

It is a lovely, very unique, piece of accent furniture. Unfortunately, the packing was poor; the "wings" of the altar were breaking off. We had to glue them back on, use wood filler, and attempt to touch up the finish. The piece is too darling to part with. I love it with all it's dings. Hand=crafted items are meant to be "imperfect.

I bought the chest as a gift. It is a unique, beautiful piece that the recipient loves. The drawers are tiny, but usable for things like jewelry, junk drawer contents, etc.

This is a lovely accent piece and has prompted much curiosity and many compliments from friends. The order arrived surprisingly quickly and in perfect condition. I was delighted that no assembly was required. There are two small disappointments. First, the chest is smaller than I had imagined. I should have measured more carefully. Second, the cheesy cardboard, stapled-on back of the chest leaves something to be desired: but since it will always be against a wall, no one else need ever know.
