The family company was begun in 1983 by Jose Valdez. They originally specialized in creating solid gold jewelry. When the economy became too depressed gold jewelry no longer sold well locally. A new idea emerged -- to move to creating gold filled jewelry with the same skill and quality as solid gold but for an affordable price. They now employ family members as well as local artisans to work within the shop, creating jewelry inspired by the culture and history of Mexico. Thanks to the ability to sell online they are able to sell their jewelry worldwide, supporting both their families and employees.
