This product was created in a region near the India/Pakistan border. When the British Army removed from the region in the late 1940s, most of the industries that made the local economy went with them. The indigenous people returned to the traditional crafts that they had known for generations. Several hub cities of industry have flourished, creating numerous, sustainable, and stable jobs for the people of the surrounding villages, helping in the time between harsh growing seasons. These industries form a valuable alternative means of providing for families, especially for women in the area. Profits from these workshops have created an unprecedented number of schools, hospitals and infrastructure improvements in the area. This industry has truly created an economic renaissance in the region.

This bench is a perfect addition to my decor. The extra added attraction is that it folds, so if you have limited space and need the extra seating, this bench is perfect.

I've watching this ties for a while now and was happy to learn that it was back. Love the dark brown. It makes it look very classic and goes with everything. Thankfully it didn't have the horrible spit smell of the gold colored bench. That was absolutely disgusting.

Nice bench!
This is a unique little bench that can blend with a lot of different styles. The woven leather seat seems pretty well constructed, and it has a bit of padding in it for comfort. I'm using this in front of my fireplace for extra seating for parties. Looks great!

This is a great piece that will provide extra seating without the bulk of a couch or upholstered chair! It is a cozy fit, but 2 can fit. I went back and forth on whether to order this piece, so glad I did! I adds a little chic to the space!

NOT your old boring bench!
Our decor is transitional/electic. We purchased 2 benches and placed them behind our sofa; a break away from the day-to-day old sofa table styling. Considering getting 1-2 more to use in our guest rooms as luggage racks! We love the bit of rustic, hand-made charm and uniqueness! Other reviews menntioned concerns about the slight gaps in the woven leather. To us this is just plays up the hand vs. machine made. If it's a big concern you can easily use a matching permanent marker to color the minimal lines where you "may" see the pad - again, you'd have to get close and stare at the seat to find them. The benches are sturdy because of the frame stabilizing bar. We like that they can fold down for storage although we love them so much I can't imagine ever doing that. These benches look like we paid at least 4x the price and came from a boutique type shop; you WON'T find anything like it in a regular furniture store. Great style, great price, great find!

Classic, beautiful leather and iron bench
I've been looking at benches of all kinds, materials, and styles. I needed one not large, but not small either; it needed to not stick out far from the wall. This one works perfectly. The design and lines are classic with a slight contemporary twist. The leather seat is thick and substantial; the iron legs are heavy duty and can easily handle an adult sitting in it. It took 10 minutes to assemble by myself. I am thrilled with how it looks.
