    This is a very substantial pendant. It is heavier that I expected and is a show-stopper. The person I bought it for, my mother, wore the pendant on a chain (also purchased from Overstock) and built an entire outfit around the rich lapis color.     These pretty earrings are made of red, gold-color, and two-toned turquoise beads of and stones of varied shapes. They are strung on strong gold thread and topped with a French hoop (easy to put on and not likely to fall off). I love them because they have a jaunty, playful look and can match several colors of clothing, especially if you have some flirty, multicolored cotton skirts. They're fun! The only objection I have is that one earring is slightly shorter than the other because they are handmade. That really doesn't matter with this type of earring.

    I like the rippled texture and the concave band design, so I don't think the ring is too basic at all. Does your wife like modern silver jewelry? She may like this ring.

    Thanks! I'm hoping she'll like it. She likes silver and is pretty eclectic so it still may be hit or miss. I appreciate the advice!
